A basic guide to help users get started with EndNote

     In order to use EndNote effectively, you should be familiar with the University of Divinity's Style Guide.The referencing style observed by the University of Divinity is based on the latest version of the Chicago Manual of Style (17th ed. 2017).

Getting Started: Quick Download

Once you receive your download instructions via email you will be able to access the installer for EndNote via ARK. When you next log on you will see a new unit on your dashboard called EndNote Delivery Unit.

  • Log into the EndNote Delivery Unit 

  • Download the EndNote 20.zip file

  • Double click and choose Extract All OR right-click the zipped file, select Extract All, and Extract to the EndNote folder

  • Once extracted, double click on the EN20Inst file (see image below)

  • Follow the prompts

Please note: If you have previously installed an earlier version of EndNote it is recommended that you backup all data before installing the new version. The latest version of EndNote includes enhanced styles for Chicago and Turabian.
