Logging into ARK

  1. To access the EndNote Installation page, you must first log in to ARK.

  1.  Once you have logged into the student dashboard, select EndNote Delivery Unit located under Units.

Select the Correct Installer for your Computer

  1. Click on the appropriate installer for your computer. If you have a Windows computer, select the EndNote Windows Installer. If you have an Apple computer, select the EndNote MACOS Installer (Intel).

EndNote is Downloaded

  1. Once the EndNote Installer has finished downloading it will appear as a zipped folder at the bottom of your browser or automatically open up your downloads folder. DO NOT OPEN THIS FOLDER YET.

Note: If the downloads folder does not open automatically, you can access your downloads folder via your File Explorer (the little yellow folder on your toolbar).

MAC USERS - FINAL STEP: Once you have downloaded the MACos installer, click on the installer to run the program and follow the prompts.

Extracting and Installing the EndNote

  1. It's time to extract the file. There are two ways of doing this:
  • The first way is to select the zipped folder > click Extract located at the top of the toolbar > then click Extract All.
  • The second way is to Right-click the zipped folder > click Extract All.

  1. A window will pop up to ask you where you would like these files to live. The default destination is fine but you can choose to move it elsewhere if you so wish. Click Extract.

  1. EndNote is now ready to be installed. Click the EN20Inst file and follow the prompts. By taking these steps, you will not be prompted for a product/license key.
