A Catholic Abuse Crisis SyllabusThis post collects articles, books, primary sources, and teaching suggestions on the clerical sexual abuse crisis within the Catholic Church. It’s mostly intended for theologians and historians who intend to address the crisis with their students in a wide variety of classes, from introductory courses in theology up through the graduate level, though of course it can be used by anyone for the purposes of understanding more deeply the current crisis in the Church.
Royal Commission Issues PapersThe Royal Commission released 11 issues papers on topics related to its work. This provided organisations and individuals with the opportunity to contribute to the consideration of systemic issues. Issues included the provision of advocacy and support and therapeutic treatment services, experiences of police and prosecution responses to reports of child sexual abuse, and preventing child sexual abuse in out-of-home care.
