In 2022 Wikimedia Australia partnered with Franklin Women to create some new Wikipedia editing training videos.
These video tutorials have been divided into 10 short chapters that can be viewed at your own pace. Wikimedian Caddie Brain takes you through the basics from creating your account, to making edits on an existing page, to creating a new page and looking after it.
Wikimedia Australia has also created a number of resources for beginner editors that are available on their website.
Staff from Wikimedia Australia can also assist. In 2025, Introduction to Wikipedia workshops are being held on the first Wednesday of the month 1:30-2.30 pm AEDT.
Drop in and Wiki sessions are also being held monthly on Thursdays 1:30-3:30 pm AEDT. These are casual drop-in sessions where you can edit Wikipedia and ask questions about anything.
